Our Story
The principals of Bizglove have worked in the technology industry for more than 60 years combined. With the floor dropping out from under technology companies in the wake of the "Dot Com" bust, in late 2000 the founders of Bizglove started to invest in real estate while continuing to work in their high-tech careers. As our real estate investing began to move into high-gear, we began to look for the same quality information technology products we were accustomed to for use in our new side-business. We were very disappointed that there were very few products available. So we began to build our own tools to use in our real estate business.
In late 2002, we put greater emphasis on real estate and began generating more opportunities than we could manage. Our desks were covered in papers with emails and phone messages from motivated sellers and prospective buyers. We joined a mentoring program to help us leverage the great success we were having. Communicating with our partners, including private investors with cash and our own mentor, became a huge problem. We were constantly retyping information into database applications, spreadsheets and word processing programs. Sometimes we would type the same information into some application five times! We looked again for software tools to help, but could find only a few. These tools did not address even half of our needs so we began to build technology solutions ourselves.
We chose the Internet as a platform for our new system since all of our staff, our partners, investors and mentors all had access to the Internet. We were also using websites to attract buyers and sellers. These websites on their own were working great since about a third of the people responding to our advertising were entering their information directly into a web form. These forms were then emailed to us, and were keyed into our other tools. We thought, "Wouldn't it be great if..." and with that the Property Prospector investor automation system was born.
As investor friends began to ask about what we were doing with our websites, we couldn't help but to show off our creation. Soon other investors wanted to get our system. So we formed a company and began the work to turn an internal use tool into a production quality, resalable product. While making the transition to a commercial software offering, we decided to add more tools and functionality.
